Motivational Work Quotes
Good motivational quotes for your employees should be inspiring and empowering…and should not sound like something you lifted from a cheesy greeting card.
It’s Monday morning and your team is gathering together for the beginning of the week meeting. Your team is fresh off the weekend and may not be in the most energetic of moods.
So you, as the leader of your team, need to present something during this meeting to pick them up. A good inspirational and uplifting quote for work or an inspirational video is a great way to get your team out of the Sunday Fun day mentality and back into a goal crushing machine.
1 Whether you think you can, or you can’t- you’re right
Self confidence is powerful thing. As human beings, we are wired to follow in what we think and what we believe. If we believe in and think on the positive about ourselves, our actions will surely follow this route in life. On the other hand, thinking that we cannot do or achieve something also sets us on a course to fail and fall short. Despite what some may try to say, a person’s own mind is one of the strongest influences that will ever be present in their life.
2 Oh yes, the past can hurt, but you can either run from it, or learn from it.
We all have something that we’ve done that we have regretted. We’ve all committed these mistakes and that’s totally fine. However, if we keep on doing these mistakes, that’s when it becomes bad. We can either learn from the past or be doomed to repeat our mistakes.
3 Talent wins games, but teamwork and intelligence wins championships.
Teams are what drive success. Startups, rock bands and sport teams: each one has the potential to rise or fall based on the group of people who share the same passion and goals and are working together to achieve success.
I have had the fortune to be a part of several teams in both my professional and personal life, but only when I had a chance to be a part of a team building process did I finally understand the meaning of having a team where each member contributes their knowledge, personality and skills for the benefit of the whole.
4 Always be first-rate version of you, instead of a second-rate version of somebody else.
So often in life we become so caught up in being what others expect or what we think the world wants from us that we lose sight of who we really are. Before we know it, we are modeling ourselves after someone we simply we never meant to be.
Consider who you are today and strive to be the best you, you can be and let go of the idea that you should be like everyone else.
5 The only way to achieve the impossible is to believe it is possible.
When we stop imagining, dreaming and fighting for these dreams, then would darkness ever be enlightened? But dreaming without action equals useless, you must keep moving to reach your dreams.
6 Intelligence without ambition is a bird without wings.
Without ambition, it doesn’t matter how smart you are. Ambition is the driving force that makes our intelligence actually useful. Imagine life without anything? It’s the same with “A man without ambition is like a ship without destination”. Therefore a man without ambition is like a bird without wings. He can never soar in the heights above, but must walk like a weakling, unnoticed, with the crowds below. He never feels the thrill of enthusiasm which pulsates through the veins of the ambitious man as he presses forward in the exciting struggle to reach his aim.
7 If something is wrong fix it now. But train yourself no to worry, worry fixes nothing.
Worry a little bit every day and in a lifetime you will lose a couple of years. If something is wrong, fix it if you can. But train yourself not to worry: Worry never fixes anything.
8 Life’s like a movie, write your own ending. Keep believing, keep pretending.
Sometimes we think that life we have is worthless, why am I living? Why I’m at this situation? Without knowing that you are the one who can give you life worth. We just realize our fault when everything already happens; in the middle of that conflict what are you going to do? It’s your choice to if you’ll fight or you’ll surrender.
9 Don’t judge each day by the harvest you reap but by the seeds that you plant.
If you’ve ever worked with kids or plants, you know that patience is a vital part of getting anything done. You can’t hurry plant growth, you can only nurture the plants, provide them with what they need, and wait. Kids aren’t that much different. You can explain a concept to them dozens of times, but until their brain is ready, it just won’t click.
With patience, you keep nurturing the plant until it is time for harvest. With kids, your ‘harvest’ is when they are ready to move on. For teachers, it might be when they leave the class, prepared for the next class in sequence. For parents, it might be when they move out, it might be when they start a family, but each stage of their life is a ‘harvest’ of sorts, and can take years (or more) of patience to realize. Patience in waiting for the harvest is useful, but don’t forget to enjoy the planting of the seeds. That is where it all begins, isn’t it?
10 I can’t go back yesterday because I was a different person then.
Life experiences – often painful ones, have a big impact on our lives and change us profoundly, leaving us a different person. It can be hard letting go of the past and we find ourselves wanting to go back to the past when things were better, more comfortable and familiar. But the past is past. Life changes and life changes us. We have to accept that. There is no point ruminating or indulging in the past, and equally no point feeling of sorry for you about the trials and tribulations of yesterday. Living in the past and looking backward won’t move you forwards in life.
Change is inevitable and we cannot always anticipate it but we can choose how we respond to it. Accept change for what it is, learn to embrace it.
Change is an opportunity for growth and allows us to transform. We get another chance, another shot in life, a blank canvas for us to write the next chapter of the story of our lives – a better story. But we are the ones who decide how we change with change – for better or worse. Don’t be a spectator of your life. You are the one responsible for creating the life you want. Life gives us both good and bad experiences but it’s up to us to choose how they define us. So who will you choose to be?
